Next up on our hotel reviews list is YOTEL NYC. Located in the famous city, YOTEL’s direct address is 570 10th ave. This was definitely one of the most unique hotels we have stayed in before. Also, this place holds a special place in our hearts as this was Kayla and I’s first overnight hotel stay. Exciting right!
Along with the interesting name to it, the vibe at the hotel is very vibrant and funky. When you walk in, it almost feels like you are walking into a night club with the vibrant colors all around. There are a few things this hotel presents that we have never seen before. First, there is a giant robotic arm that stores luggage for you which you can view here. Also, I have never been to a hotel that doesn’t have a front check in desk as you check in at a “computer” kiosk. Two of my favorites about this hotel. Now let’s get into the nitty gritty:
We decided to ball out on this one and booked a corner room. We did this so we could have an amazing view of our surroundings in the city and we got just that. Views from this hotel were top notch.
The room itself had an interesting layout as well. Not a traditional bed frame as you could manually adjust it with the touch of a button to sit up or lay down. Another interesting feature was automatic shades adjusters as we didn’t have to adjust them like a normal human would. In the bathroom, pretty standard other than the towel heating rack. Yes, a towel heating rack. The only downside to the room was there was noticeable marks on the desk and some missing parts, so it was a little broken down. It could of been our room, but that was a bummer.
Location of the hotel itself was pretty good. The hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk outside of Times Square and if you’re a tourist, you obviously have to go there. Also, you are next to the Hudson River with plenty of activities to do in the area. Being in mid town manhattan is a smart thing to do if you are a first timer to the great city.
The hotel had everything you could ask for. A public indoor pool, hot tubs, a fitness center and a restaurant. Everything in regards to the amenities checks off on the list just in case you have to stick around in the hotel for the day. Nothing to complain about here.
This was easily one of my favorite hotels that I’ve stayed in. It was my second one in New York City and it met my expectations. Everything from the environment within the hotel and outside of it were just perfect. This hotel could be a bit pricey depending when you head out to it, but if you have the funds for it, we would suggest highly on booking a corner room. We are definitely going to head back to this hotel in the near future so feel free to follow my Instagram to check in on updates of what we are doing next!
